Hulu dropped from Boxee

Written by Kelsey Brookes Thursday, 19 February 2009 04:17

In what can only be seen as a shot across the bow aimed squarely at media-centre developers, Hulu has requested that it's offering be dropped from Boxee.

While several media players and media centre applications have included Boxee, this is the first time that pressure from content providers has forced the service to be removed from an application or device. Boxee is a fork of the wildly successful open source XBMC project and can be installed on AppleTV, Intel Macs and Linux machines.

Concept to Creation 2008

Written by Administrator Wednesday, 06 August 2008 19:29

The Concept to Creation conference focuses on the development of feature films right from the conceptual design, through to the production and post production stages.  Ron Cobb was also joined by legendary Australian Cinematographer Don McAlpine acs, who has worked on films such as Predator, Narnia and most recently Wolverine (X-Men series).

Ron explores how he developed his visions of film sets such as Conan the Barbarian and Alien, by reading the script, working with the screen writer and director. He often challenged ideas and brought new ones to the table, with ensuring that all ideas had strong elements of realism.
