NSW Film & TV gets extra $5mill

The NSW Film and Television Office has been given an additional $5 million in the state budget as part of an initiative to win back film production from Victoria and Queensland.
While Labour governments are typically perceived as unsupportive of the arts, the state budget has also granted additional funding to Sydney Theatre Company. NSW Government has also launched a 'film-friendly' policy to encourage councils to support production and successfully attracted Hollywood feature, Green Lantern to Fox Studios.
