Composers for copyright reform

Composers are fighting for their right to get paid for their work. In April 2007 a U.S. federal court ruling determined that downloaded music was not considered a performance, essentially preventing composers from claiming royalties from online sales.
With the online channel growing as traditional media distribution falters, actual creators are seeing their earnings reduce while cheaper online methods see increased profits for distributors.
